Big Mouth on Netflix receives a season seven premiere date. Netflix’s YouTube account posted a ‘Date Announcement’ video for the Emmy-winning series. The airing date for the start of the new season is set for October 20, and features lengthy list of well-known guest stars. According to Deadline, “Inspired by Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s childhood, Big Mouth is about the glorious nightmare that is puberty. It follows a group of friends and their hormone monsters as they navigate adolescence, human sexuality and coming of age.”
Comedian Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live), actress Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), actor Zach Woods (The Office), actor Jon Daly (Kroll Show), actor Andy Daly (Yogi Bear), actor Paul Scheer (The League), actor Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat), actress Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), actor Brandon Kyle Goodman (The Relationtrip), actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), comedian Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live), actor Mark Duplass (The Morning Show), activist Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), actor Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover), actor Bryan Tyree Henry (Atlanta), actor Billy Porter (Pose), actress Thandiwe Newton (Westworld), actress Rosie Perez (White Men Can’t Jump), rapper Megan Thee Stallion (Big Ole Freak), and actress Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) star in the seventh season.
The announcement of a premiere date for the seventh season of Big Mouth is not the only accomplishment of the show; in April, the eighth season was picked up by Netflix, making it the longest-running scripted original series on the streaming platform ever, aside from Kids & Family programming. Via Deadline, “The upcoming Season 7 follows the now teenage students of Bridgeton middle school as they make their way to high school. Change is the only constant as our characters are faced with a new school, new friends, new adversaries, and new Hormone Monsters.”
