The wait for the exciting continuation of Disney Star Wars series, Ahsoka is finally over. According by Screenrant, following the major success of the first season which has garnered 14 million views, fans have been flooding the internet with when they believed the second season. The series creator, Dave Filoni (Star Wars: Rebel, Star Wars: Resistance), give a promise into the thrilling battles the new season will entail and how it will further connect into other installments within the franchise.
At this year’s Disney Upfront presentation, the studio dived deep into its upcoming slate of shows. Series lead Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian, Sin City) joined the rest of the cast on stage to reveal that the new season is scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027. Reported by Screenrant, Dawson shared a playful teaser in an interview with Deadline: “This season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher.”
The plot will surely continue from the previous season events in which Ahsoka and Sabine, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Day Shift, The Society) are stranded on the planet and must known find a way out, in order to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen (Frankenstein, Headhunter). Furthermore, we will also see more of Ezra Bridger, played by Eman Esfandi (Red 11, Firewall),who successfully stowed away to return to the Resistance and brief them on the approaching danger.
According to Screenrant, several other elements are set to excite fans, including Hayden Christensen’s (Awake, Obi-Wan Kenobi) return as a Force ghost to mentor Ahsoka. Additionally, Rory McCann (Game of Thrones, Hot Fuzz) will take over the role of Baylan Skoll—previously played by the late Ray Stevenson (Thor, The Three Musketeers)—and is expected to have an interaction with Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The new season is poised to deliver the same level of emotion and action that made the first so successful. As fans await the exciting 2027 premiere, the entire first season of Ahsoka is available to stream on Disney+.
