Ben Stiller Shares New ‘Severance’ Season Three Filming Tease

Apple TV+ has offered fans another update on Severance season three. According to ScreenRant, executive producer and director of the series Ben Stiller (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder) shared a cryptic image on social media that appears to hint that production is underway on the upcoming season.

Stiller posted a blurred image showing Mark S., portrayed by Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, Step Brothers, Party Down), and Helly R., played by Britt Lower (Man Seeking Woman, High Maintenance, I Will Find You), running through the halls of Lumon Industries. Accompanying the image was a quote attributed to Lumon founder Kier Eagan, played by Marc Geller (A Different Man, Daredevil: Born Again, Elsbeth), reading, “To return to work is to return home.” The image appears to depict a new angle of the season two finale, potentially hinting that the third season will pick up immediately after the cliffhanger ending.

Season three will continue following the events of the critically acclaimed second season, which concluded with Mark and Helly attempting to escape Lumon Industries after helping Gemma, played by Dichen Lachman (Jurassic World: Dominion, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Raya and the Last Dragon), flee the facility. While story details remain under wraps, Scott, Lower, Zach Cherry (Duncanville, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, 72 Hours), Patricia Arquette (True Romance, Boyhood, Medium), Tramell Tillman (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Elementary), and John Turturro (Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Fading Gigolo, Barton Fink) are all expected to return.

Created by Dan Erickson (Chambers), Severance follows employees at Lumon Industries who undergo a procedure that surgically separates their work memories from their personal lives. The psychological thriller premiered in 2022, with its second season debuting in 2025 to widespread critical acclaim.

A premiere date for Severance season three has not yet been announced.
