According to Screenrant, Waddingham plays Rebecca Welton in the series, who is the owner of the football team and in the beginning tried to sabotage Ted, played by Jason Sudeikis (We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), but throughout the seasons, the two became close friends.
The third season finale was reported to be the conclusion of the sitcom, with all characters choosing their own path, and Rebecca having reunited with the Dutch man, played by Matteo van der Grijn (Forever Rich, Daylight) and his daughter, hinting a future romantic relationship. According to Screenrant, she speaks in an interview with Entertainment Heights about the fourth season. She was asked whether the new season had begun production, to which she responded, ” We are going to be filming.” She also gives details on her character’s development story, saying, ” Viewers will find Rebecca in a happier place.”
According to Screenrant, although this is not definitive proof, Waddingham’s remarks strongly indicate that production for this season could begin as soon as this year.
