A new Doctor Who trailer teases the return of a popular Doctor. The three episodes will have David Tennant (Criminal, Good Omens) return as the Fourteenth Doctor in celebration of the show’s 60th anniversary. View the trailer below.

Teasers for the upcoming episode titles were covertly released during the UK’s singing competition Eurovision, via Deadline. The night of the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, the full trailer was revealed with Tennant accompanied by Catherine Tate (The Office, Hard Cell), who is returning as Donna Noble. Viewers also saw newcomers Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper, Anythings’ Possible) and Neil Patrick Harris (Uncoupled, How I Met Your Mother).

Deadline reports the trailer revealed the title of the three episodes: Special One is entitled “The Star Beast;” Special Two is called “Wild Blue Yonder;” and Special Three is “The Giggle.”

The anniversary has been in the works for a while and will lead up to a new season with the Fifteenth Doctor, played by Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa. Gatwa recently showed off some stellar costumes while on set with season co-stars Millie Gibson (Coronation Street, Butterfly)  and Jonathan Goff (Mindhunter, Knock At The Cabin). Gibson will play Gatwa’s companion Ruby Sunday, while Goff has joined the series in an undisclosed guest role.

“The titles are just the beginning of the Doctor’s biggest adventure yet,” showrunner Russell T Davies (Queer As Folk, It’s A Sin) said via Deadline. “Autumn is coming, with three hours of danger, Donna, and disaster about to be unleashed!”
