BBC America Has Simulcast Plans For The 50th Anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’

Indiewire has learned that the network is planning  to air a special episode broadcast simultaneously in more than 75 countries.

The official synopsis about the special, released by BBC America, reads that: “In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.”

Reports claim that not only the current Doctor (Matt Smith), the 11th, and his companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) will appear, but also the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) and his companion (Billie Piper), and also John Hunt as a forgotten incarnation of the Doctor.

The episode is scheduled to air in multiple countries. In the US, its air date is November 23 at 2:50pm ET.
