ATX Festival Adds Several New Panels And Discussions To Its Slate

ATX Festival has added some new names to its lineup. The slate will now feature  a panel on You’re Killing Me with Brooke Shields (The Blue Lagoon, Pretty Baby), NBCUniversal Unscripted Casting Conversation with Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano, Inside Look at Stunts with Marshals Cast & Creatives, Hallmark Original Hit The Way Home, and Masterpiece PBS Favorite All Creatures Great and Small. Additionally, programmers have added a mystery screening as a spin-off of the mystery guest series.

Amalia Williamson (Letterkenny, Northern Rescue) will join Shields to discuss Acorn TV’s new series. The series follows established novelist Allie (Shields), who unexpectedly joins forces with aspiring writer and podcaster Andi (Williamson). The two will try to uncover the mystery behind one of Allie’s friends’ deaths. The event will feature a happy hour for attendees.

Reality television darling Rob Marino (Survivor, Traitors), more commonly known as “Boston Rob,” will discuss casting with Peacock head of casting Christine Cowan. The duo will peel back the curtain on what makes unscripted television tick.

The cast of Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home will host a panel ahead of saying goodbye to the series. Chyler Leigh (Supergirl, Noth Another Teen Movie), Evan Williams (Blonde, Versailles), and Sadie Laflamme-Snow (The Way Home, Cascade) star in the multi-timeline series set in Port Haven.

The daredevils behind action television will be getting a moment in the limelight. The cast and crew of Marshalls break down the stunts behind the series. Joining along for the ride will be series creator Spencer, who will discuss with actor Arielle Kebbel and stunt coordinator Matthew Taylor.

An expose into the rise of the mini studio will showcase how smaller studios are beginning to keep up with large companies. Guests will include Kathleen McCaffrey (Little Gems), Ryan Rasmussen (Bad Wolf), Patrick McDonald (Cut To), and Alissa Bachner (Tomorrow Studios).

PBS will be featured at ATX Festival for the first time as they host a conversation on the long-running fan favorite All Creatures Great and Small. The conversation will look back at the series and give an inside look at the difficulties of combining an animal-friendly set with a period piece.
