Deadline reports that Hulu has officially confirmed the release date for its highly anticipated Season 15 premiere of King of the Hill. The first episode is slated for Monday, July 20th, and will be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
It’s also been confirmed that binge watchers will be in for a treat as the entire catalogue of the 15th season will drop at once and immediately be available to watch on the release date. Season 14 was long-awaited for fans and featured a massive time skip. The show quickly regained popularity and skyrocketed to the most-watched adult animation premiere over the last five years. The studio is now banking on its success as it has greenlit two more seasons beyond the upcoming season, guaranteeing at least another 20 episodes beyond this summer’s release.
Fans who have yet to reconnect with the series should know that the revival sees Hank and Peggy settling into retirement; long gone are the days of propane and propane accessories sales. According to the logline, they spend most of their days keeping the neighborhood together and their neighbors from going off the rails. Bobby is now all grown up and quite the entrepreneur. He has made a name for himself as the chef at a fusion restaurant called Robata Chane.
Changes in the cast will include the voice actor for Dale Gribble, who will now be Toby Huss (Copshop, Seinfeld). Huss replaced Johnny Hardwick (Shadows of Sofia, Natural Selection), who was the original voice of Gribble after he tragically passed under unusual circumstances. Ronny Chieng (M3GAN, The Daily Show) will also now be the voice of Kahn Souphanousinphone.
The show’s co-creator will also be recognized this summer at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Office Space) is set to receive the prestigious Honorary Cristal in June.
