According to ComicBook.com, the hit steampunk action-adventure series, based on the video game League of Legends, will return for second season in November of this year. Netflix also showcased brand new footage of Arcane‘s second season in a YouTube video uploaded to their social media today, which is available to watch below.
The adaptation of the popular League of Legends video game, created by Christian Linke (Imagine Dragons x J.I.D Enemy, Arcane: Bridging the Rift) and Alex Lee (Arcane), stars Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Pitch Perfect 3) as Violet and Ella Purnell (Army of the Dead, UFO) as Jinx began airing in November 2021. As noted by ComicBook.com, Arcane became the first streaming series to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. The new footage revealed by Netflix shows the sister protagonists finally reuniting. As the dire situation worsens, the two sisters, Violet and Jinx, steal magical crystals containing insurmountable power. While Violet and Jinx share a loving bond, the series’ first season established that they frequently butt heads, leading to intense conflicts.
