Apple TV+’s ‘Silo’ Starring Rebecca Ferguson Reveals Season Three Trailer And Split Timeline Storyline

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for season three of Silo, offering viewers a first look at the next chapter of the dystopian science fiction series. According to Deadline, the upcoming season will introduce a split timeline storyline while continuing Juliette Nichols’ journey following the dramatic events of season two.

Based on Hugh Howey’s (“Wool,” “Shift,” “Dust”) bestselling book trilogy, Silo stars Rebecca Ferguson (The Greatest Showman, Dune: Part One, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) as Juliette Nichols, an engineer living within a massive underground silo that houses thousands of people. The newly released trailer reveals that Juliette has somehow survived being trapped in an incinerator during the season two finale, though she appears to be suffering from memory loss.

The upcoming season will reportedly split its story between two timelines. One timeline follows Juliette in the present day as she returns to a silo recovering from rebellion while facing a dangerous new threat. The second timeline in the series explores how life was before the apocalypse and reveals new details about how the underground civilization first came to be.

New characters introduced in season three include journalist Helen Drew, played by Jessica Henwick (How to Make a Killing, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Iron Fist), and Congressman Daniel Keene, played by Ashley Zukerman (Succession, Manhattan, Rush). According to the official synopsis, the pair uncover a conspiracy that ultimately triggers a series of catastrophic events.

Returning cast members include Common (Suicide Squad, John Wick: Chapter 2, Wanted), Harriet Walter (Sense and Sensibility, The End, The Last Duel), Chinaza Uche (A Good Person, Dickinson, The Terror), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead, Black Mirror, Learning to Drive), Alexandria Riley (Torchwood: The Story Continues, Death Valley, The Tuckers), Shane McRae (Sneaky Pete, The Help, Still Alice), Remmie Milner (His Dark Materials, Save Me, A Christmas Carol), Rick Gomez (Band of Brothers, Justified, She Dances), Billy Postlethwaite (Chernobyl, 1917, Tomb Raider), and Clare Perkins (Secrets & Lies, Holby City, Censor).

Additional new cast members joining season three include Laura Innes (ER, The Event, Awake), Jessica Brown Findlay (Brave New World, Harlots, Black Mirror), Morven Christie (The Bay, The A Word, Ordeal by Innocence), Reed Birney (Mass, House of Cards, The Menu), Matt Craven (Crimson Tide, A Few Good Men, Jacob’s Ladder), and Colin Hanks (King Kong, The House Bunny, Jumanji: The Next Level). Steve Zahn (The White Lotus, Anaconda, War for the Planet of the Apes) will also return to the series.

Silo was created by Graham Yost (Justified, Speed, Slow Horses) and was renewed for both a third and fourth season in 2024. Season three will premiere on July 3 with new episodes releasing weekly through September 4 on Apple TV+.
