Apple TV Renews ‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’ Starring Tatiana Maslany For Season Two

Apple TV has renewed its dark comedy thriller Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, starring Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Stronger) and Jake Johnson (New Girl, Let’s Be Cops, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), for second season. According to Deadline, a writers room is currently underway, with production on season two expected to begin during the first half of 2027.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows Paula, played by Maslany, a newly divorced mother who becomes caught in a dangerous situation involving blackmail, murder and youth soccer. While dealing with a custody battle and an identity crisis, Paula becomes convinced she witnessed a crime and launches an investigation of her own.

Her investigation could uncover a larger conspiracy while potentially helping Paula rebuild both her family and her sense of self.

In addition to Maslany and Johnson, the ensemble cast includes Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Looking), Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness, Nine Perfect Strangers, Ghostlight), Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why, Ratched, Looks That Kill), Jessy Hodges (Barry, Indebted, Anyone But Me), Jon Michael Hill (Elementary, Widows, Pass Over), Charlie Hall (The Sex Lives of College Girls, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Bel-Air), Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg (Charmed, Invasion, Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and Nola Wallace (The Strangers: Chapter 2, The Strangers: Chapter 3).

The series was created by David J. Rosen (Sugar, Hunters), who serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer. David Gordon Green (Halloween, Pineapple Express, The Righteous Gemstones) directs and executive produces the series. Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadpool, The Martian), Audrey Chon (Invasion, The Twilight Zone, Designated Survivor) and Bard Dorros (Spotlight, The Revenant, The End of the Tour) also serve as executive producers. The series comes from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios.

“We are delighted to continue the story of MPG and deeply grateful to Apple and our incredible cast and crew,” Rosen said. He added that the show’s title originally came from a spam email.

A premiere date for Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed season two has not yet been announced.
