Apple TV+ Releases Trailer for Season Two of ‘Foundation’

Apple TV+ has just dropped a new, sneak peek trailer for the upcoming second season of the sci-fi drama series, Foundation. As written by Comicbook.com, Foundation is one of the largest and most enterprising science fiction shows in recent years with premium production quality, which explains why fans have had to wait nearly two years for the release of a second season.

The live-action adaptation of Foundation is loosely based on the award-winning book series of the same name by American author and professor Isaac Asimov (the Galactic Empire series, Nightfall) and chronicles the thousand-year saga of the Foundation, a group of exiles and outcasts who embark on an epic journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization after the demise of the Galactic Empire. For those interested, the trailer for the second season of Foundation can be found just below.

The series features the acting talents of SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Jared Harris (Chernobyl, the Sherlock Holmes film series), as well as Emmy Award nominee Lee Pace (Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, Halt and Catch Fire), Alfred Enoch (the Harry Potter series, How to Get Away with Murder), and Clarke Peters (The Wire, I Wanna Dance with Somebody).

In the exclusive sneak preview for Foundation, viewers get a glimpse at the terrifying new dangers which now threaten the lives of our main heroes in the upcoming season, as well as a brief but awe-inspiring reintroduction to the planets and systems which comprise Asimov’s fictional interpretation of a futuristic, colonized Milky Way galaxy. With a new crisis on the horizon and time running short, the exiles who make up the Foundation must reunite to stop the nefarious efforts of Brother Day (Pace), who seeks to reestablish the Galactic Empire and usher in a new age of authorial government control.

Foundation comes from the minds of David S. Goyer (the Blade trilogy, the Dark Knight trilogy) and Josh Friedman (Terminator: Dark Fate, Avatar: The Way of Water) with Goyer helming the project as lead showrunner.

Foundation will return sometime this summer, exclusively on Apple TV+.
