According to Apple TV Press, Apple TV has released first look images of its new romantic comedy series Prodigies. The series will have a seven episode run, which will start in February and end in March. The rest of the images can be viewed at the bottom of the article.
For those who don’t know, Prodigies is a series that tells a story following two child prodigies, Didi and Ren who are now in their 30s. The couple must now reexamine their relationship that they have been in since they were nine. The series will have an unconventional take on a romantic comedy that explores the ideas of potential, ambition, and the universal complexities of long-term relationships. According to Apple TV Press, the series will debut with a two episode premiere In February and will be followed with one episode dropping each week up until March 17, 2027. The series will be executive produced by Katie Carpenter (Waiting for the Out, Kaos), Naomi De Pear (The Following Events Are Based on a Pack of Lies, The Power), Jane Featherstone (Blacks Doves, The Split Up), Claire Jones (Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?, People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan), and Paula Watkins (The Death of Bunny Munro, The Outlaws).
The cast consists of Liz Kingsman (Practical Magic 2, Project Hail Mary), Matt Baunsgard (The Wizard of the Kremlin, Zombies of the Third Reich), John Malkovich (Bad Monkey, Wild Horse Nine), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, Clarissa), Will Sharpe (In Waves, Amadeus), Annette Holland (Digger, Comedy Playhouse), Tobias Menzies (Outlander, A Ghost Story for Christmas), Sophia Di Martino (Stepping Up, All Yours), Lolly Adefope (The Murder at the Vicarage, Swapped), Reece Shearsmith (Rogue Trooper, Planet Krynoid), Nabhaan Rizwan (A Kind of Purity, I Have a), Meera Syal (Lysistrata, Our Tiny Islands), Andrede Ward-Hammond (9-1-1: Nashville, English Teacher), Rina Sawayama (Dang!, Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir), and Yumi Asô (Brothers in Arms, Even Though We’re Adults).
The series is set to premiere on February 10, 2027.
