Apple TV+ Announces Plans For Slated November Release

Apple has announced a planned November 12th launch date for the upcoming Apple TV+ streaming service, which strictly follows the previously announced Fall 2019 launch timetable for the service— a reported $9.99 a month subscription fee also seems to be in the works.

A free trial for the service will be available to those who decide to try out the add on as the tech giant makes attempts at expanding its current digital library. However the price hasn’t been confirmed by Apple themselves, despite all accounts showing Disney+ as cheaper at a $6.99 per month fee —Disney’s streaming service will also launch later in the Fall.

Apple further plans to make, as of now, a smaller selection of original programming content and series  readily available to the public from the outset and has strategies in place that will slowly build its catalog over the next several months.

The release strategy for Apple’s originals is still considered a work in progress by the company, but reportedly will involve the consideration of showcasing the first three episodes of new shows at one time. Unlike other competitors who allow their programming originals’ full season to be available immediately following its release. Subsequently, weekly installments will rollout similar in fashion to Apple’s other competitor, Hulu.

As previously reported, Apple TV+’s content will be ad-free and will be made available to the public despite also being downloadable. Previews have also been released for two of its upcoming originals such as: The Morning Show, a dramedy with stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, and For All Mankind, which takes place in an alternate history where the space race never ended.

Both series have preceded the streaming networks official launch and is a good indication of what the network will focus on in the longer run. Other greenlit series include: Taika Watitit’s Time Bandits, the Julianne Moore limited series, Lisey’s Story, as well as all future Peanuts programming due to the company’s recent acquisition of DHX Media.
