According to Deadline, amongst the Nielsen chart, Disney+’s Ahsoka managed to debut in second place while Suits still holds first place on the list. For the week of August 21 to August 27, Disney+ was able to break through with another hit title on the Nielsen chart. Ahsoka recently fought for the Number five spot on the overall list and number two among the streaming originals. Nielsen also gave credit to Disney for their strategy to revive appointment viewing among streaming audiences with Ahsoka premiering on a Tuesday evening.
According to Deadline, Baller, a sports dramedy on HBO has been attempting to find its success since launching on Netflix and then making it to the top 10 overall list. After making it on the list in its first week the series moved up to number seven overall and number five among acquired content. The series is also available to stream on Max as it proves that a cross-streamer distribution strategy is the ideal path to the future of the streaming era. Suits with no surprise have kept on being the top champ for yet another week making it its 10th week in a row. Nielsen has reported that season one of the series still generates most of the viewings of the series. Although recently the views have started to spread more across all eight seasons.
According to Deadline, Nielsen has stated that two more titles have crossed billion minute mark for the week Netflix’s Who Is Erin Carter? and Disney+’s Bluey. Nielsen also states that 62% of Who Is Erin Carter? viewers are over 50, while Bluey’s are under five. Nielsen believes that Bluey might be able to challenge Cocomelon for the top spot in the children’s continent.
