‘American Horror Story’ Season 10 Cast Revealed

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy revealed eleven new cast members for the upcoming season of the series today on an Instagram post. The creator and producer posted a video of crashing waves as each name of the cast faded on and off the screen.

American Horror Story is an anthology horror series co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Fulchuk which initially premiered in 2011 and has been running strong ever since, garnering nominations for 95 Emmy awards. Each season features a self-contained miniseries with a distinct beginning, end with a unique setting. Past seasons have featured haunted houses, insane asylums, witches, and even the lost colony of Roanoke. However, the theme for this season remains a mystery. In January, the series was renewed for three more seasons.

Actors Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are set to return for the 10th season alongside Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock. In addition, Macaulay Culkin, of Home Alone fame, will be joining the cast. Culkin’s casting has been met with extremely positive responses from fans and even led to him trending on Twitter earlier today. This will be his first regular role in a live-action television series.

Though no theme or setting has been announced, Murphy, in an interview with Deadline last year, expressed interest in bringing back several “fan-favorite” actors as well as incorporating aliens and space. He has accomplished the former, which leaves fans questioning if the latter will become true.

No release date for the new season has been announced yet, however, considering past seasons, it can be expected to release sometime in the fall.
