AMC Launches Weekly Remote Talk Show Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan

In this ongoing context of quarantine, AMC invited The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan to host a new from-home show entitled Friday Night In With the Morgans. Accompanied by his wife Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill), Morgan will lead half an hour streaming sessions and interact with fellow celebrities to discuss about social distancing times. Set in the couple’s farm in Dutchess County, the show will premiere on April 17 at 10 p.m.

AMC Networks’ Entertainment Group and AMC Studios president Sarah Barnett said that the show will focus on feel-good stories to enlighten these difficult times and how the couple interact with fans, neighbors and animals. “It will be full of heart, messy conversation, hardworking humans who are on the front lines, and guests who might reveal some previously unknown talents,” said Barnett for AMC. “Ultimately, it’s a shot at some raw and real entertainment that will uplift and connect with our audiences.

Friday Night In With the Morgans is also a response to The Walking Dead fanbase’s enthusiasm as numerous cast members from the zombie apocalypse drama are set to come on the show. Christian Serratos (Rosita) and Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes) will be guests along with Supernatural star Jenson Ackles, One Tree Hill actor Danneel Ackles and The League team Katie Aselton and Mark Duplass.

The show will premiere on April 17 on AMC.
