AMC Confirms Premiere Date for the 2nd Season of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’

Many have been eagerly waiting for the return of two current popular zombie apocalypse series: The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead is set to return on Valentine’s Day, February 14 at 9:00pm ET.

As far as Fear the Walking Dead, IGN recently reported that the Television Critics Association confirmed the return for the series during a press tour. The show will officially return on Sunday, April 10th at 9:00pm ET/PT. Just like the first season of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead’s kickoff season also featured six episodes. However, the second season of Fear the Walking Dead will have twice as many episodes, 15 to be exact.

The first seven episodes of the series will air this spring followed by the eight remaining episodes airing later in 2016. Each week after Fear the Walking Dead, new episodes of The Talking Dead (hosted by Chris Hardwick) will air.

During the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead, we witnessed characters Travis (Cliff Curtis) , Madison (Kim Dickens), Nick (Frank Dillane) , Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), and Daniel (Ruben Blades) preparing to depart on a yacht. The yacht owner however, Strand (Colman Domingo) is the mysterious character that viewers still don’t know much about. The season finale ended with Madison comforting Travis who is devastated after he pulled the trigger on his “infected” ex-wife Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez).
