Amazon Prime Instant Video Launches Original Kid Series ‘Tumble Leaf’ Today

Amazon Prime Instant Video launched Amazon’s first original kid series, Tumble Leaf, today exclusively for Prime members.

Tumble Leaf centers on a blue fox named Fig, his best friend Stick and a quirky caterpillar as they go on adventures and see what discoveries await them in this stop-motion series. The series is targeted for preschool-aged children.

Drew Hodges created the series. It features voice work from newcomers Christopher Downs as Fig, Landon Clay as Hedge, Addie Zintel as Pine, Brooke Wolloff as Maple and Gary Littman as Ginkgo.

“Drew and I have been counting down the days until we could share Fig and his wild adventures with the rest of the world,” said Kelli Bixler, Tumble Leaf Executive Producer of Bix Pix Entertainment. “Amazon Studios provided us with the opportunity to use our creativity to develop a series for kids that helps nurture their own creative thinking skills and teaches them to embrace science through play. We couldn’t be more thrilled to give children and their families something that is as educational as it is fun.”

The first six episodes are available for streaming at no addition cost to Prime members. Streaming is available online and on Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation, Wii and Wii U, and other connected devices.

“Amazon Studios is ecstatic about today’s debut of Tumble Leaf, our very first original kids series,” said Tara Sorensen, Head of Kids Programming at Amazon Studios. “We were blown away by Kelli and Drew’s concept of Tumble Leaf from the very beginning as it perfectly fits the mold of what we’re focused on with our programming: promoting creative thinking and education through a world of adventure and play.”

Prime Instant Video will also debut more children series later this summer including Creative Galaxy on June 27 and Annedroids on July 25.
