Amazon CEO Unveils “Octocopter” Drone Delivery Plans

According to The Hollywood ReporterAmazon CEO Jeff Bezos revealed on Sunday night’s 60 Minutes that the company is developing a drone delivery plan to be implemented in four or five years.

According to Bezos, this project, which is being developed under secrecy, will allow the company to deliver the packages at the custumers’ homes only thirty minutes after they make their purchases.

This plan, titled “Amazon Prince Air”, would use “Octocopter” drones and would be able to begin in four or five years, but it currently needs more safety testing and also the FAA approval.

“I only knew that there was a surprise coming, I had no idea what it was,” said CBS’s producer Draggan Mihailovich, after the shocking revellations. “They kept saying over and over again, ‘Whatever you think it is, it isn’t.’ ”

While it is not clear if this project will ever move forward, if it does, it’ll certainly be quite revolutionary for the world of online shopping and delivery.
