Amanda Segel To Write ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel ‘10,000 Ships’

One of the most recent Game of Thrones projects in development at HBO, 10,000 Ships has found its writer in Amanda Segel (Person of Interest, The Good Wife), according to VarietyThe show is slated to follow Princess Nymeria, who married Lord Mors Martell as she journeyed with the Rhoynar to Dorne.

Alongside 10,000 Ships, HBO is also developing 9 Voyages, which would follow Lord Corlys Velaryon on the Sea Snake vessel and Flea Bottom, which would be set in the poorest district of King’s Landing. A separate Game of Thrones prequel, entitled House of the Dragon, started production with stars Paddy Considine (Journeyman), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), and Eve Best (Nurse Jackie).

In addition, an animated Game of Thrones series was previously announced, however, none of the aforementioned projects have writers attached, with the exception of 10,000 Ships and 9 Voyages.
