A&E has green lit a new 10 episode scripted drama series, The Returned, from executive producers Carlton Cuse (Bates Motel) and Raelle Tucker (True Blood).
The Returned hails from A+E Studios and FremantleMedia North America. Cuse penned the first episode and will also write and executive produce the series with Tucker. Casting for the series will begin immediately. The series is based on Internatial Emmy-wawrd winning French suspence series adapted by Fabrice Gobert and gets its inspiration from feature film, Les Revenants, directed by Robin Campillo.
The Returned centers on a small town recieves the shock of their lives. Several local people who were presumably dead come back to life and bring with them positive and detrimental consequences.
