Adam F. Goldberg, Co-Creator of ‘The Muppets Mayhem’ Promises To Stay In Muppet Biz

Once a Muppet man, always a Muppet man. Despite the series The Muppets Mayhem being canceled on Disney+, series co-creator Adam F. Goldberg (The Goldbergs) is still sticking around in the Muppet biz. Who can blame him? Kermit The Frog cannot be an easy goodbye.

When the news broke that the series was not going to get second season, Goldberg took to Twitter to reassure that he would be sticking around with an update in regards to his future works with the Muppets. His statement reads “Huge thanks to the critic & fan love that got us 6 Emmy noms and a #1 Billboard album,” he then continued “Mayhem was truly the most joyful and collaborative experience of my career. From day one all I’ve cared about is creating a Muppet-verse and YES I am already cooking up more Muppets with @billbarretta & @JeffYorkes! IT’S HAPPENING.”

The Muppets Mayhem originally premiered on Disney+ in May. It starred YouTube icon Lilly Singh (A Little Late With Lilly Singh) as Nora, an up-and-coming A&R executive. Her task, managing the Muppets’ band Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. Throughout all the ups and downs of managing an old-school Muppet band in today’s music scene, Nora and the band manage their way through with the sole intention of finally going platinum.

The series also starred Tahj Mowry (Smart Guy, Baby Daddy), Saara Chaudry (Dino Dana, The Breadwinner) and Anders Holm (About My Father, Inventing Anna) as the token human actors alongside the Muppet performers Bill Barretta (Muppets Treasure Island, Muppets Wizard of Oz), Dave Goelz (The Muppet Movie, The Muppets Take Manhattan), Eric Jacobson (Muppets Most Wanted, Play With Me Sesame), Peter Linz (The Muppets, Bear In The Big Blue House), David Rudman (Jack’s Big Music Show) and Matt Vogel (A Muppets Christmas Letter To Santa, Sesame Street).
