ABC Sets Premiere Dates for ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Designated Survivor,’ ‘Speechless’ and More

After the other main networks released their fall schedules for the upcoming season, ABC is the last of the networks to release their schedules, according to Variety.

With the exception of the season 23 premiere of Dancing With The Stars, all of the ABC premieres happen after the network airs the Emmys on Sunday, Sept. 18, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting. Dancing With The Stars kicks off ABC’s premieres on Monday, Sept. 12 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Emmy Sunday this year is Sept. 18. The preshow arrival for the 68th Emmy Awards airs on ABC at 7 p.m. and concludes when the broadcast starts at 8 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 20 has the two-hour Dancing With The Stars results show from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Following the results show, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has its fourth season premiere at 10 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 21, the season four premiere of The Goldbergs leads off a night of comedy in its 8 p.m. timeslot. Speechless, Minnie Driver’s new comedy, has its series premiere immediately following at 8:30 p.m.

 

ABC comedy staple Modern Family has its eighth season premiere at 9 p.m. and Black-ish has their third season premiere at 9:30 p.m. At 10 p.m., Kiefer Sutherland’s new drama, Designated Survivor, has its series premiere to close out Wednesday night.

Thursday, Sept. 22 has the 13th season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy at 8 p.m., once again giving it the leadoff timeslot for the TGIT television block of programming for the third year in a row. At 9 p.m., Notorious has its series premiere as Scandal is held for the midseason due to Kerry Washington’s pregnancy. At 10 p.m., the third season premiere of How To Get Away With Murder finishes the night.

Friday, Sept. 23 has the season six premiere of Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing, starting the night off at 8 p.m. Following the premiere is the second season premiere of Dr. Ken at 8:30 p.m., which was a solid Friday night show for the network. At 9 p.m., Shark Tank has its eighth season premiere.

Sunday, Sept. 25 marks the return of three shows for the network, with the season six premiere of Once Upon a Time at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., Secrets and Lies, which was left off ABC’s schedule during the 2015-2016 television season, has its second season premiere. Rounding out the night is the second season premiere of Quantico at 10 p.m.

The following Sunday (Oct. 2), America’s Funniest Home Videos has its 27th season premiere at 7 p.m.

Conviction, Hayley Atwell’s new ABC show, has its series premiere at 10 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Rounding out the premieres is The Middle‘s season eight premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. American Housewife has its series premiere at 8:30 p.m. Fresh Off The Boat has its third season premiere at 9 p.m. and The Real O’Neals has its second season premiere at 9:30 p.m.
