ABC Reveals Trailer For The Fourth Season Of ‘Abbott Elementary’

According to TVLine, ABC has revealed the official trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Abbott Elementary. The trailer is packed with information on what’s to come of the new season for the mockumentary, from a visit from HR, an unleashing of nippy class pets and even a ringworm outbreak. The fourth season of Abbott Elementary will premiere on ABC on Wednesday, October 9 at 9:30/8:30c.

The series follows a group of passionate teachers in a Philadelphia public school where, no matter how many bumps in the road, they strive to help their students succeed in life.

The cast for the series includes Quinta Brunson (Big Mouth) as Janine, Tyler James Williams (Dear White People) as Gregory, Janelle James (Central Park) as Ava, Lisa Ann Walter (The Parent Trap) as Melissa, Chris Perfetti (The Night Of) as Jacob, Sheryl Lee Ralph (Oliver & Company) as Barbara, William Stanford Davis (Perry Mason) as Mr. Johnson, Zack Fox (Bust Down) as Tariq and many others.

Creator and executive producer Brunson shared with TVLine, “There’s this larger, looming change happening in the neighborhood where Abbott is, essentially, located, and we’re seeing the impact of that on our school.”

When it came to the end of the third season with Janine and Gregory’s kiss, Brunson mentioned that although they’re not officially a couple, “it is something that changes their dynamic.

As per TVLine, the fourth season will allow viewers to meet Jacob’s family. Also, in the new season, Barbara’s character will have to think about making changes to keep up with the evolving world around her. “Flat-out funny” Melissa episodes will showcase the “unsung” Walter. Even Mr. Johnson will get an episode revolving around him.

Abbott Elementary is available to stream on Hulu.
