The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife both earn an additional three episode script order, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.


ABC’s “The Goldbergs” airs Tuesdays at 9/8c
The shows are part of the Tuesday night lineup, which starts the night off with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The opener already seen a full season order.
The Goldbergs is semi-autobiographical comedy from writer Adam F. Goldberg set in the 1980’s. The huge lead-in audience from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. helped the show’s ratings and posted debut ratings of 3.2 among adults 18-49, boasting ABC’s best comedy launch in more than a year.
Trophy Wife follows Kate (Malin Akerman), a former party girl who marries the twice divorced Pete (Bradley Whitford) and tries to balance being a new wife, step mother and friend to Pete’s ex-wives. The show debuted with 2.3 among adults 18-49.
