ABC Announces Series Order of ‘Home Economics’ Starring Topher Grace

ABC has announced the series order of the sitcom series Home Economic from the minds of John Aboud (Leverage), Michael Colton (Leverage), and Topher Grace (That 70’s Show), according to Deadline. The upcoming sitcom series will serve as the network’s first comedy series order for the current calendar year. The series and its concept were developed by Aboud and Colton in addition to being executive produced by the pair. Grace will executive produce alongside the duo, Jason Wang (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and others.

Home Economics will center on the relationships between a family’s three siblings as they navigate adulthood through three different economic statuses, the upper class, middle class, and a sibling just making ends meet. The series cast will feature Grace in a starring role along with Caitlin McGee (Bluff City Law), Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder), Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live), Jordyn Curet (Marriage Story), Shiloh Bearman (Phobics), JeCobi Swain (Claws), Chloe Jo Rountree (Cut!), and Jimmy Tatro (The Real Bros of Simi Valley, American Vandal). Grace’s role for the series marks his return to television following his departure from the long-running sitcom That 70’s Show on Fox in 2005.

Currently, the series does not possess an exact premiere date nor a trailer for its first season. However, ABC is expected to premiere this first-year sitcom series in the next calendar year of 2021.
