According to the The Hollywood Reporter, ABC’s The Corners gets an official premiere date for its seventh and final season. The series will be back one last time on March 26 with six episode run for its last season. The final episodes will air on ABC on its usual 8 p.m. Wednesday slot after the current spot holder Shifting Gears ends on March 19. This comes after ABC announced the final season back in May 2024.
The final season of the series will make the series have a total of 112 episodes which marks an accomplishment for a network comedy series.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, The Conners is a spinoff to ABC’s Roseanne revival series which was canceled after racist remarks by series star Roseanne Barr (Home on the Range). The series has had a solid run as it has ended each season as ABC’s most watched comedy in Nielsen’s linear ratings. Season six averaged 4.11 million viewers over seven days.
The Conners series follows a working-class family struggling to get by on a limited household income. After some events, the family is forced to face daily life struggles in their home and how to work together to pull themselves together.
The cast of the series includes John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane) as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf (Uncle Buck) as Jackie Harris, Sara Gilbert (Riding in Cars with Boys) as Darlene Conner, Alicia Goranson (Boys Don’t Cry) as Becky Connor-Healy, Emma Keeny (Shameless) as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamata (The Dead Don’t Die) as Mark Conner-Healy, Jayden Rey (Bobcat Moretti) as Mary Conner and many others.
Werner Entertainment produces the series with Tom Werner (3rd Rock from the sun), Gilbert, Bruce Helford (Wanda at Large), Dave Caplan (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare), Bruce Rasmussen (The Drew Carey Show) and Tony Hernandez (Russian Doll) executive produce for the series.
The Conners is available to stream on Hulu, Netflix, Tubi and Pluto TV.
