‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ gets a New Trailer and Premiere Date

Netflix decided to start off 2018 by releasing trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events with Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) breaking the fourth wall. The trailer also reveals that season two of the show will air on March 30. Now, isn’t it a good idea to start of the year by seeing Count Olaf’s “beautiful” face? He does help give us a New Years binge tease that will have to wait till the end of March.

Here is the trailer for season two:

The trailer starts off with a nightmarish scene with Count Olaf and his two deadly blades. Which is coupled with that background. The trailer ends with him saying, “Does this seem like a nightmare? Because that was the effect I was going for.” This helps reinforce what Harris and executive producer Barry Sonnenfeld  said to EW back in Decemeber. “Tonally, we have more action, and things are little darker and sadder.” Well going for that nightmarish effect does have that darker and sadder feel to it. Nevertheless, this should also make fans excited because that tone goes with the trend of the books.

This season is going to cover books five through nine. The trailer gives viewers a tease on A Vile Village as we see Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, and Presley Smith (the Baudelaire children) being chased by an angry mob of villages. Which leads to the end of the trailer, and Count Olaf says his nightmare line.

Also do not worry fans, Netflix has already renewed the show for third season. This shows that Netflix intends to adapt the entire series of books.
