After House Of The Dragon concluded its third season, fans will not have to wait long for more Game Of Thrones content. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms has reportedly wrapped filming on its second season and is targeting an early 2027 premiere date.

Season one received widespread critical acclaim, receiving a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite its shorter run time, the series received nine Emmy nominations. A Knight Of A Seven Kingdoms takes a much more jovial tone than its mother and sister series, but it still elected to throw its hat in the ring for the drama category instead of comedy.
The first season followed Dunk or Sir Duncan the Tall, a fledgling hedge knight who goes to compete in his first tournament. Spoiler alert for the following information. Along the way he meets Egg, a bald boy who Dunk assumes is an orphan but is actually a runaway Targaryen prince. Dunk finds himself in the crosshairs of Egg’s sadistic brother Aerion, who, after being struck by Dunk, challenges him to a Trial of Seven, an ancient form of trial by combat where seven knights face seven knights.
The series is based on The Hedge Knight, a series of three novellas about Dunk and his squire Egg. As the first season covered the first story of the series, season two is set to adapt The Sworn Sword. A year and a half after the events of the Trial of Seven, Dunk and Egg will once again find themselves embroiled in the whims and squabbles of the lords of Westeros.
The series stars Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters, Harry Wild) and Dexter Sol Ansel (500 Miles, The Midwich Cuckoos) Sir Duncan the Tall and Egg respectively. The series was created by original author George R.R Martin (A Song Of Ice And Fire, Fire And Blood) and Ira Parker (The Last Ship, The Nevers). The original collection contained three stories, but the showrunner has said Martin has given him short descriptions for more than ten other seasons. Hopefully, this will not be the penultimate season for our hedge knight and his squire.
