‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Netflix Series to Premiere on May 13

The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the second book The Brass Verdict in novelist Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series, is coming to Netflix, according to Deadline. Written and produced by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Goliath) alongside Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife, Shark), Ross Fineman (Lights Out, Big Sky), Barry Jossen (Roots, Sex and the City), Michael Connelly (Blood Work, The Lincoln Lawyer), and Tana Jamieson (Avalon, The Malevolent Bride), the series seeks to continue the book series’ story past the bounds of the 2011 film of the same name and into a lane of its own.

The 10-episode series, set to premiere on May 13, follows the life of LA-based attorney Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) as he attempts to reassert himself back into practicing law after taking a long respite. While juggling the tasks of mending tenuous relationships and solving a sizeable mystery for a freshly-returned attorney, Mickey runs his reinstated law practice from the back of his Lincoln Town Car.

Humphrey, the series showrunner in addition to co-producer, revealed shots and imagery from the show shootings and the setting of some of the episodes:
