David Cross will be working with Showtime for a new comedy project, as announced by Deadline.
Cross described the plot of the series by saying, “[It centers around] a modestly successful travel writer who struggles to keep his families happy and satisfied. Oh, and also from finding out about each other’s existence,” Deadline reported.
Although Cross will be writing and executive producing the series, the lead role will not be filled by him. According to TV Line, if the project moves forward in development it is possible he will make an appearance in some sort of supporting role.
A title has not yet been determined for the series, as it is still in the very early stages of development, stated by Deadline.
Cross is possibly best known for his role as Tobias Funke on the cult favorite Arrested Development, and is also the creator of HBO’s comedy series Mr. Show, another cult classic.
