

According to Variety, Netflix’s annual Netflix Is A Joke Fest is returning for a week of live events and comedy shows in Los Angeles. The all-star lineup includes Jerry Seinfeld (Unfrosted, Seinfeld), Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Envy), Kevin Hart (Bye Bye Bye, Good Sports) and Shane Gillis (Bye Bye Bye, Good Sports).
While many performers are still yet to be announced, Variety reports that the comedy festival will host “Night of Too Many Stars.” The gathering of musicians, comedians and other entertainers will be hosted by Jon Stewart (The Daily Show, The Nanny). Talent includes the likes of Bill Burr (The Mandalorian, Old Dads), Conan O’Brian (Conan Without Borders, Conan O’Brien Must Go), Steve Carell (The Patient, The Office), Ron Funches (Trolls, Jexi), Nikki Glazer (I Feel Pretty, Trainwreck), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip, Night School), Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Man Show), Leanne Morgan (Leanne, Sun Moon), John Mulaney (The Bear, Chip N’Dale: Rescue Rangers), Bob Odenkirk (Nobody, Normal), Matt Rife (Mo, That 90s Show), Adam Sandler (Jay Kelley, Happy Gilmore 2), Sarah Silverman (School of Rock, Wreck-It Ralph), Ali Wong (Beef, Always Be My Maybe), Noah Wyle (The Pitt, ER) and many more. The event, presented by event founders Robert & Michele Smigel, is in partnership with Jill Leiderman to benefit NEXT for Autism. NEXT is a national organization that provides programs and support for people living with autism.
Variety noted that Joke Fest will be a week-long event from May 4 through May 10. There will be 350 live shows at various venues around the Los Angeles area. The venues will consist of the Hollywood Bowl, The Comedy Store, The Greek Theater and the Intuit Dome.
According to Netflix, Hart will host Funny AF, a competition searching for the world’s next funniest comedian. The competition will begin streaming on Netflix starting April 20, with taped episodes leading up to the Live semi-finals and finale at the festival on May 4 and 5.
Elsewhere, Stamptown, a raunchy and chaotic, full-on fever dream featuring the most eclectic performances from around the world, will be hosted by the bad boy of clown Zach Zucker (Swiped, Sweethearts). This wildly entertaining comedy spectacle is being taped across two nights for a Netflix special to premiere later this year.
The festival will also host a reunion of the sketch comedy series, Portlandia, with Fred Armisen (Wednesday, Saturday Night Live) and Carrie Brownstein (Carol, Transparent) discussing their friendship, work on the show, and their individual pursuits.
Netflix is selling tickets for all the events, which go on sale on January 23 at 10 a.m. pacific standard time at netflixisajokefest.com.
