

According to Deadline, Netflix’s third season of One Piece is currently being filmed in South Africa. Netflix and the creators of the series revealed the previous cast who will be returning for the third season as regulars. The returning cast will include Inaki Godoy (Don’t Open the Door, MexZombies) as Moneky D. Luffy, Mackenyu (Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar, Knights of the Zodiac) as Zoro, Emily Rudd (Hunters, Moonshot) as Nami, Jacob Romero (Snake Eyes, The Mosaic) as Uspp, and Taz Skylar (Cleaner, The Deal) as Sanji. Finally, Charityra Chandran (Pillow Talk, The Input Problem) will play Miss Wednesday.
Deadline also noted that some additional cast members from the previous season two will be joining the third season cast members as season regulars. They include Sendhil Ramamurthy (The Blue Inside, Welcome To The Fishbowl) as Nefartari Cobra, Mikaela Hoover (Beef, Superman) as Chopper, Joe Manganiello (Mountain Man, Big City Greens) as Mr. O, and Lera Abova (Honey Don’t!, Anna) as Miss All Sunday. The season three cast will also include Cole Escola (Hacks, Search Party) and Xolo Mariduena (Cobra Kai, Blue Beetle). Escola will be playing the character Bon Clay, and Mariduena will be portraying Portgas D. Ace.
One Piece is a live-action drama that was adapted from the manga series from Japan created by Eiichiro Oda (Hokke Sentai Myoranger, Monsters:103 Mercies Dragon Damnationa) alongside Shueisha (Kochira Katsushika-Ku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsuijo) and produced by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studio Partner and Netflix. According to Deadline, the showrunners for the second season are Matt Owens (Danger Mouse, Your Face or Mine) and Joe Tracz (Dash & Lily, Epic). Owens recently stepped back from his duties, leaving Tracz and Ian Stokes (Warehouse 13, Luke Cage) to co-showrun and write season three.
Deadline notes that the viewers will follow Monkey D. Luffy on his journey to find the legendary treasure, the One Piece, as he tries to become the King of the Pirates. The second season, Into the Grand Line, will premiere on March 10, 2026, on Netflix.
