Episode 3 starts with Janet, Robbie, and Ben talking about Addison and his wife. When Robbie looks at the picture, he recognizes the guy in the photographs as the same man he talked to before (Lonnie Lincoln). Robbie goes to talk to Lonnie again, while Ben tasks Janet with figuring out if Flint, Jimmy, and Lonnie were POWs. Suddenly, Silvermane and his men barge in, with Silvermane giving Ben a job to find out about a rat. After getting money from Silvermane, Ben realizes he marks his bills, so he looks at the money from Cat Hardy and finds a mark on her money as well.
Ben then goes to speak with all the officers from the raids, and learns these orders came straight from Mayor Morris. When Robbie goes back to the camp to speak with Lonnie, police suddenly come in and start beating everyone to force them out. While Robbie is taking photos of the scene Lonnie comes out, and tries to calm the situation down, but then he becomes powered, and beats up the cops. Flint comes out and also beats up the cops, all while Robbie takes photos of the scenes.
After speaking with Carmedy and Cat, Ben runs into Winston at the lounge, who he agrees to share info on the basis of money. While talking about the encounter with Lonnie and Flint, Janet reveals that Lincoln, Addison, and Marko were all POWs, and the photo is from the day they were rescued. Robbie pulls Ben aside to talk about the other superpowered individuals, where Ben reveals he’s working for Silvermane, and the rat is Cat Hardy.
Ben goes to speak with Vera, telling her he knows it was Cat Hardy who hired Jimmy. He tells her to leave town, but she says he has to pay a thousand, or she’ll tell. At night, Ben puts on the suit and heads to the Hillhurst Hotel Silvermane’s staying at, to go into the safe and get the money. Suddenly, a wind gust causes a door to slam, which almost causes him to get caught.
After paying Vera, Ben is stopped by two men, who tell him the mayor wants to speak to him. After speaking with him, Frankie, who Ben hired to keep tabs on Cat, tells him she took a cab to Penn Station ten minutes ago. Ben gets into a cab and heads there to speak with her about being the rat. Suddenly, Winston walks up and takes the two of them to Silvermane.

When they get there, Silvermane’s men bring out Vera, who tells them that Cat Hardy was the rat. When Winston tries to prove the case, Silvermane looks at the unspent money, and finds his mark on the bill (in the spot that represents Winston on his payroll, which Ben handed to Winston earlier). In response, Silvermane kills Winston, and shoots someone else.
This might have been the best episode so far. Too early to say best in the series, but it definitely is the best episode right now. The black and white really does give a different vibe. Again, the color is good in its own way, but the black and white just feels different.
