Review: ‘Big Mistakes’ Season 1, Episode 8 “Rock, Paper, Scissors”

The 8th and final episode starts with the aftermath of the shooting, with Nicky and Morgan rushing out. We then see Nicky, Morgan, and Natalie listening to Linda’s rant about the election results not being released yet. Suddenly Linda gets a call and is informed that she and Tom are tied.

After Morgan accidentally runs over Max after getting a call, Nick and Tareq go for a walk. Nick tells Tareq about the business they’re involved in and confesses that the money being recovered was because of it. Nick then gets a call from Morgan, who tells him the flip phone rang.

Nick returns home and finds a window open. After investigating, he looks at the flip phone, and finds 5 missed calls, before someone puts a bag over his head and brings him into the living room. Morgan is also there, and the kidnapper turns out to be Yusuf. Yusuf informs the two that he got a promotion from Ivan’s boss, the Italians, who he informed were about to be screwed over by Ivan. This pisses off Nick and Morgan, who inform him that everyone in the room was shot and killed. Suddenly, the boss and his goons walk in, and talk with Nick and Morgan. They question Nick about talking with Filipe, and screw with him by pointing an unloaded gun at him. They then tell him that he better not have told Tareq about the operation, and they’ll be hearing from them soon before leaving.

After this, Linda is preparing for her rock, paper, scissors game with Natalie and Morgan to win the election against Tom. Suddenly, a lady walks in, and informs her that Tom has decided to concede, making Linda the new mayor. At the party, Annette brings Morgan upstairs and tells her that she will be marrying her son no matter what, while Nick sees the Italian mobsters at the party. Nick is informed by them that they were invited to the party, and it turns out to be Annette. Morgan then informs Nick that Annette is the boss of the mob.

This one might actually be one of the best ones. Annette being involved with the mob was honestly unexpected. The ending left on a bit of a cliffhanger with a family picture, so there will most likely be another season coming out. The show as a whole was a pretty good watch and had some funny stuff in it.

I have taken part in the university television station where I was able to act in a show and work behind the scenes. I also have hosted a radio show and have been able to learn the mechanical workings on how the radio shows operate. I have always been interested in different video games growing up and have recently become more interested in movies, film, radio, and screenplay. I have created many characters and have many ideas for different movies, video games, and shows. Besides creating the characters and stories, I believe I would also like to take part in them as well.
