Review: ‘Big Mistakes’ Season 1, Episode 7 “I’ve Really Enjoyed My Time With You”

The second to last episode starts with Morgan and Nicky driving through the airport, talking about Nick’s relationship with Tareq. They get on the private plane to Miami to see Ivan and his goons loading up their guns. They then go to a Denny’s and learn from Andrei that the Brazilians were supposed to meet them 20 minutes ago. Ivan tells Andrei that the Brazilians met at their house for dinner, so they head there to have their meeting.

The dinner at first doesn’t go so well, but through a bumbling proposition, and a cocaine test to make sure Nick and Morgan aren’t agents, they are welcomed. While Nick is in the bathroom, a man comes in and tries to have sex with Nick. Nick of course says no, and the guy reveals himself as Paolo’s son, and tells Nick that he isn’t very close with his father, and that he’s gay. He asks Nicky to keep it a secret, and Nicky obliges, telling him he can talk to him about his problems whenever.

The next morning, Nick and Morgan are driven to the bay and brought to a yacht. When Ivan and Andrei try to follow them, they are told by a guard that he makes the deals, and Paolo approves them before escorting them away. Ivan and Andrei are then driven to an area in the woods where they are given a pair of shovels and told to dig by the guard.

Back at the yacht, Nick explains to Morgan that they’re in Miami to help out Tareq, and this aggravates her. She then says that she has to end her relationship with max, because she would never do something like that for him, and it’s annoying that he is such a good person compared to her. The two are interrupted by Paolo, who tells Nick to come with him.

Ivan and Andrei are then confronted about Nick and Morgan and ask if they’re there because of Yusuf. Andrei quickly saves them by saying that Yusuf was dealt with. Paolo brings Nick to a soundproof room, and speaks with him about his son Filipe. Paolo knows he’s gay, before getting a call, letting him know that there’s a deal to be made. Later on, Morgan tells Nicky that she’s enjoying their time together, before everyone suddenly starts shooting each other.

This episode was again pretty good. The ending was unexpected and came as a surprise when it did happen. This episode didn’t have as many funny moments as some of the other episodes, but it still did have some in it. Overall, this was still a good watch.
