According to TVLine, ever since the series was ordered in March, CBS has finally confirmed the release of the Young Sheldon spinoff along with the official title. Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage will be the newest addition to the Big Bang spinoff, which focuses on the lives of Georgie and Mandy. The series will pick up right after the final events of Young Sheldon.

According to TVLine, during a recent interview with them, the stars of the new series, Montana Jordan (The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter) and Emily Osment (Hannah Montana), stated that they hope the new spinoff will find a way to undo Georgie’s marital history in Young Sheldon. *Warning Spoiler Ahead * In The Big Bang Theory finale, when Sheldon won a Nobel Prize, he stated that he had received congratulatory texts from Georgie’s ex-wife as well as his other ex-wife.
Osment said, “I’m hoping that I’m the ex-wife and the new wife. People get divorced and remarried. Why can’t she be both?”

According to TVLine, the series is being done by co-creators of Young Sheldon, Chuck Lorre (The Kominsky Method), Steven Molaro (Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh), and Steve Holland (Rules of Engagement). The series will follow the two main characters “as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage,” according to the official logline.
The series will be part of The Big Bang Theory lore following the Young Sheldon series that followed the life of Sheldon Cooper growing up in Texas. The series will focus on Sheldon’s older brother Georgie Cooper as he experiences his first marriage.
Currently, the full cast for the series has not been revealed.
