‘Yellowstone’ Season 5B Premiere Starts Top International Launch For Paramount+

According to Deadline, Yellowstone Season 5B premiere had accumulated more than 21 million views, making it the biggest launch for the show. The views were released by Paramount Global and were released three days after the debut. In comparison to the 16.4 million same-day views, the show increased 29%. Although it may seem like a small percentage, it was the highest premiere audience for the entirety of the TV series.

The numbers were calculated through Paramount+ active sub households and VideoAmp’s linear figure. These are actually an estimate as Paramount cannot view how many people are watching the stream at all times. Although the company stated the premiere did well internationally, there were no international figures to back that statement up. Canada, Ireland and the UK are just few of the international audiences were the series was not only streamed but a top driver of minutes watched. Consumed products were sold in Asia, Australia, North Africa, Canada, Europe, Middle East, LATAM, the UK and the US. In other international countries, Yellowstone is available on Netflix and SkyShowtime.

Even though the show’s season 5B was announced as the last installment, the teaser failed to release that information in June.

Per Deadline, Yellowstone focuses on the Dutton family who controls the largest cattle ranch in the United States. More of the logline can be read here: “Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”

The executive producers are Art Linson (Where the Buffalo Roam, Point of No Return), Bob Yari (Papa: Hemingway in Cuba, Employee of the Month), Christina Voros (Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Big Sky), David C. Glasser (Agent Cody Banks, Shortcut to Happiness), John Linson (Lords of Dogtown, Sons of Anarchy), Keith Cox (Special Ops: Lioness, Hot in Cleveland), Michael Friedman (Those Who Wish Me Dead, Special Ops: Lioness), Stephen Kay (The Dead Will Tell, Blue-Eyed Butcher) and Sheridan Costner (Wind River, Mayor of Kingstown). The Western series is issued through the Paramount Global Content Distribution.
