Comicbook revealed a surprising announcement in an article for the animated show X-Men ‘97. The article announced the season three renewal for the series. However, some fans are left confused as season two has yet to premiere. Speculation started over no release date in sight. Viewers have only received a season two confirmation on the series. However, the show is rumored to come out in 2026. After a jam-packed season 1, viewers cannot get enough of season two teasers. The show promoted new characters and even more plot twists for the new season.
With the season three announcement Comicbook shared statement from actress Leonore Zann (Legend of the White Dragon) who stars as Rouge at a panel for Indiana’s Comic Convention “I’m about to start to go into the studio next week to start on Season three, so I’ve got lots to look forward to”. This sparked the questions from fans of where is season two?
X-Men ‘97 gained popularity for the 90’s style animation as well as following the original characters from the franchise. With the style and its compelling plot lines, fans rave over the show. The series follows a group of “mutants” who are people with supernatural abilities. With all the original characters work together again, we see the group struggle with their powers as they constantly save a world where the people in it do not accept them.
