Better Call Saul follows attorney Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk (Summer in Argyle, The Birthday Boys). Before he was Goodman representing high-end meth dealers like Walter White in Breaking Bad, he was just Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself.

As per Deadline, In the series, there is a call back to Breaking Bad, in which Walter White and Saul talk about Cinnabon. “If I’m lucky, a month from now, best case scenario, I’m managing a Cinnabon in Omaha,” Saul tells Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston (Malcom in The Middle), in the 2013 episode “Granite State.”

After sharing the early script, Gould explained why they didn’t move forward with Saul working at Hot Topic. “In fact, we found out that Hot Topic was carrying #BreakingBad stuff and we didn’t want to make it look like a cheap promo,” he wrote in a follow-up post. “So Cinnabon it was! And they had no idea about it until the episode aired.”

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are both available to stream on Netflix.
