

The new anime series Witch Watch continues to gain a new audience as it releases the show dubbed in multiple languages, according to a GKIDS press release. The series gained traction after debuting its first trailer, revealing it as an anime romantic comedy series. The show is based on the manga series written by Kenta Shinohara (Witch Watch, Astra Lost In Space Vol.1). Now, with a new English dub cast, the series will debut globally on April 6th. New episodes will be available to stream every Sunday at 5:30 pm JST. However, the English-dubbed episode will come out three weeks after the premiere date. The premiere of the dubbed episode is set for April 27th at 5:30 pm JST.
The Witch Watch promotion doesn’t stop there. The series recently released a new trailer, exciting fans for the premiere. The trailer shows a better look at the characters and animation style. The series follows an ogre named Morihito and a witch named Nico, who get stuck living together. In a world full of magic, the pair faces never-before-seen threats. Morihito is tasked with fulfilling his lifelong prophecy of protecting the witch, but gaining control of his magic stops him. The stars set to voice over these characters are Lily Ki (Dark Dice, Phoenix Valley) starring as Nico Wakatsuki, Stephen Fu (The Ones Within, Talentless Nana) starring as Morihito Otogi, Caleb Yen (Beyblade X, Lookism) starring as Kanshi Kazamatsuri, Kevin K Gomez (Kemono Jihen, The Legend Of Hei) starring as Keigo Magami, and Cristina Vee (Miraculous: Tales Of ladyBug and Cat Noir, Miraculous Secrets) starring as Nemu Miyao.
The GKIDS press release shared that the series is produced by the famous company Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc. The company has been known for broadcasting and co-producing anime productions for a number of years. Tune into Netflix on April 6th to watch the premiere of Witch Watch.
