

According to Deadline, William H. Macy (Shameless, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) has been cast in Hulu‘s untitled Dan Fogelman (Je te promets, Bir Aile Hikayesi) drama series set inside the world of the NFL. In the limited series, Macy will play Hank Durkin as he joins previously announced series lead Christopher Meloni (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Wet Hot American Summer), who will play Danny Roarke, the head coach of an NFL team. The series follows a sprawling, multi-generational family drama set in the world of the NFL.
As per Deadline, the series brought by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, is written and executive produced by Fogelman, who is known for This Is Us and Paradise and executive produced by Jess Rosenthal (Only Murders in the Building, Fire with Fire) with David Ellison (Top Gun: Maverick, The Tomorrow War), Jesse Sisgold (Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story), and Jason T. Reed (Stadium Lockup, The Happiest Place on Earth) for Skydance Sports.
According to Deadline, Macy is an Oscar and Golden Globe nominee, an Emmy and SAG Award-winning actor, and a writer in theater, film, and TV. He was nominated twice for a Best Actor Emmy Award and has won twice for the SAG Award for his role on Showtime’s Shameless.
As per Deadline, Macy’s film credits include Disney’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Amazon’s Ricky Stanicky, Seabiscuit, The Cooler, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Jurassic Park III, Fargo, and Wild Hogs, among others. Macy also made his feature directorial debut with Rudderless, the closing film at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Macy can be seen next in Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) The Running Man remake from Paramount Pictures. He will also be appearing on Train Dreams for Netflix, starring opposite Joel Edgerton (The Gift, Dark Matter), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and Clifton Collins Jr (The Boondock Saint II: All Saints Day, The Bricklayer).
