NBC appears to be all in on Max Mutchnick and David Kohan’s Will & Grace revival. Though most networks would likely hold off until 2018 to broadcast a relatively young concept, A.V. Club reports that the show will be coming to air this fall. The proof is in the picture, shared by returning actor Sean Hayes on his Twitter feed Friday.
Despite the actor announcing it, the title appears to remain the same. It seems we will have an even longer wait before “Just Jack” hits the airwaves.
Rumors of a return have only been circulating since late last year but it would appear that things are moving more quickly than many have suspected. Despite upping the episode count from 10 to 12 and the utter whirlwind of a timeline, Will & Grace is still apparently making killer time.
The episode count was alluded to last year by star Megan Mullally last year in an interview when she mentioned she wasn’t sure about the set in stone nature of the ten episode order. “I have no idea, it would probably be like a 12-part miniseries with each installment being four hours long,” was her comment at the time. Sadly, episodes are confirmed to be running only 30 minutes.
Some would say that Will & Grace is returning at a very important time politically. Whether that is the case or not only time will tell. Viewers will have to wait until fall to find out how much things have changed for the duo. Until then, stay tuned with mxdwn Television for further information regarding the revival of Will & Grace.
