With TV revivals becoming a trend. A Will and Grace revival is most likely to happen. From the mouth of Megan Mullally and Eric McCormack, Will and Grace may live again. After the cast came together for an impromptu election-themed video, Megan Mullally posted a group photo of the cast together sparking rumors that many people have been expressing the fact that maybe things will rekindle between the cast members and that they might revive the popular show they participated in.
The cast Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes is looking to come together to reunite on camera but it just a rumor so far. While on the show Watch What Happens live, Mullally gave an update and said in an interview “Well, there’s some interest and people have been talking and there’s some rumors…From what I can tell, a lot of people really want the show to come back, so we’ll see what happens,” Mullally told host Andy Cohen. Though there has been a revival of many classic television shows including, The Odd Couple, The X Files and Fuller House based on the original show Full House, they are making waves. If Will and Grace fans were granted the chance to see their favorite will and Grace cast again, it will also cause a bigger wave.
When Mullally posted the photo of the Will and Grace cast on Instagram recently per Enews, she had said “Who are these nerds with their little desserts? and why are they always together,” she asked and tagged her costars on Instagram. Mulally is hinting on a reunion and what more can be said but hope. Will and Grace was one of the highest rated shows on NBC.
Even Eric McCormack hinted on a reunion. In an interview with TV insider, McCormack said”Well, you know what? The four of us were so surprised that Max [Mutchnick, Will & Grace co-creator] called us up and said, ‘OK, don’t ask how, but I’ve got the set and everything, so let’s do something and help the cause.’ It was so much fun to do and the response was so huge. And it’s kind of amazing too that between [director] Jimmy Burrows and our set decorators, they made it look like an episode of the show,” he said of the election-themed reunion. “So, when NBC came back and said, ‘Is there more to this?’ the talk right now is that we are sort of in talks [for] maybe something limited, a little 10 episodes…but it’s going to be awhile before we can figure it out. I’m the only one with a [regular] series, but the other three could have a series at any moment. So, it is a very hard thing to schedule but we’re certainly all into it.”
McCormack’s comment confirms the 10-episode order that was rumored when revival talks first started. However, Mullally joked “I have no idea, it would probably be like a 12-part miniseries with each installment being four hours long,” she teased.
