As of right now these results have landed the fourth season in the middle of the franchise’s list. Some of the reviews have called the first half as being “slow, heavy, and disorganized,”, but the other have praised its second half for the action scenes and wicked antagonists.
Stated by mxdwn, the plot of the season follows the individual journey of the heroes, who are determined to reunited with each other, while combating evil that threaten world. We see that Yennefer, played by Anya Chalotra (Creature Commandos, Twilight of the Gods) gathering sorcerer and coming with a plan and gathering allies to eliminate Vilgefortz, played by Mahesh Jadu (I, Frankenstein, The Furnace).
Geralt travels with Jaskier, portrayed by Joey Batey (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Sirens of the Deep) and ragtag crew in a mission to locate Ciri, played by Freya Allan (Gunpowder Milkshake, The War of the Worlds), who have joined with the outlaw group, The Rats. Along Geralt’s path he goes on to meet Regi, played by Laurence Fishbourne (The Matrix, John Wick), who acts as a new mentor for the character and helping improve himself.
Reported by Screenrant, these are just early reviews, and the result can either increase or decrease as time goes on and more reviews are collected. All current seasons of The Witcher are available to stream on Netflix with a fifth season already in production.
