The upcoming Paramount+ spy series, Rabbit Hole, has added Wendy Makkena (The Good Wife) to the cast, per Deadline. The series will star previously two-time Emmy nominee Keifer Sutherland who will also executive produce the series.
Makkena will co-star as Debra, an acclaimed journalist and trusted nightly news anchor who receives a major scoop that seemingly falls into her lap. Before covering the story on-air, Debra pursues questions about how and why she received this vital story.
Additional previously announced cast members include four-time Emmy nominee Charles Dance (The Crown), Meta Golding (Empire), Enid Graham (Mare of Easttown), Jason Butler Harner (High Maintenance), Walt Klink (Ivalo), and Rob Yang (Succession). Dance will play Dr. Ben Wilson, Golding will co-star as Hailey Winton, Graham will play Josephine “Jo” Madi, Butler Harner is Valence, Klink will play The Intern, and Yang will co-star as Edward Homm, per Deadline.
Rabbit Hole is created by executive producers of This Is Us, Glenn Ficarra (WeCrashed) and John Requa (Next). The duo has received a combined number of eight Emmy nominations for their work on This Is Us. Sutherland, Ficarra, and Requa will executive produce the series alongside four-time Emmy nominee Charlie Gogolak (The Sinner), Suzan Bymel (Queen America), and Hunt Baldwin (The First Lady).
Makkena’s recent credits include Juan Martinez Vera‘s Spiked, the Academy Award-nominated A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood from Marielle Heller (The Queen’s Gambit), Ken Kushner’s Fair Market Value, CBS’s Bull, and TBS’s The Last O.G.
Rabbit Hole will premiere on Paramount+ this fall.
