Huffington Post announced the Nickelodeon show Wendell & Vinnie has been canceled after only one season.
The show starred iCarly alum Jerry Trainor, Buddy Handleson, King of Queens alum Nicole Sullivan, “Gangster Squad” star Haley Strode and Angelique Terrazas.
Huffington Post describes the show as, “Vinnie (Trainor), the owner of an L.A. pop culture memorabilia store, didn’t have a care in the world until he found out he was the legal guardian of his wise-beyond-his-years nephew, Wendell (Handleson), after his parents died suddenly.”
Wendell & Vinnie was pulled from Nickelodeon’s schedule after its fourteenth episode aired in June due to low ratings. But the remaining six episodes of Wendell & Vinnie will air beginning Sunday, August 18 at 8:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon.
To announce the cancellation, Handleson took to twitter, saying, “it is extremely sad for me to inform you guys, Wendell & Vinnie has not been picked up for a second season.#WendellAndVinnie”
