Watch Fox’s ‘Son of Zorn’ Trailer: Live-Action Animated Comedy

Fox released the trailer for Son of Zorn and it’s pretty hilarious. According to TV Series Finale, the live-action animated comedy is a fish out of water comedy.

Son of Zorn follows an animated warrior who leaves his faraway island in the Pacific Ocean, where everything and everyone is animated. Zorn moves to Orange County, CA to win back his live-action ex-wife Edie and teenage son, Alan. So who is Zorn? He’s the Defender of Zephyria, Conqueror of the tribes of Agon, and slayer of the dark herdsmen of Grith. He’s fought multiple revolutionary battles throughout his life but will soon find that his biggest challenge will be adjusting to life in suburbia to reconnect with his ex and son.

Zorn finds it difficult to connect with his 17-year-old laid-back, P.C. attitude son. And he also struggles identifying with his ex-wife Edie, who was formerly a wild child but is now living the life of an upper middle class mom. What makes things even more complicated for the animated warrior is that Edie is now engaged to Craig, an online psychology professor who’s a healthy part of Edie and Alan’s life. Regardless of everything, Zorn commits to staying in Southern California for the long haul. He even goes as far as getting a job in industrial soap sales and renting his own apartment.
