Disney+ has released an exclusive WandaVision clip day ahead of the next episode. According to TVLine, episode four of the Marvel series is set to drop this Friday. In anticipation of where the series is headed next, viewers received an extended preview that introduces new characters and possible theories about what is happening to the beloved Avenger, Wanda Maximoff. Check out the preview below:
Last week’s episode witnessed Elisabeth Olsen’s (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain American Civil War) Wanda give birth to two twin boys with Paul Bettany’s (Legion, Uncle Frank) Vision by her side. But this joyous occasion was rocked by a sliver of suspense when a friendly neighbor made a swift exit from Westview.
According to TVLine, the clip seems to focus on the events occurring outside of Wanda and Vision’s idyllic neighborhood. We meet “Geraldine,” played by Teyonah Parris (Chi-Raq, If Beale Street Could Talk), whose true identity is confirmed to be Captain Monica Rambeau of S.W.O.R.D. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will recognize her name as we first met Monica as a child in Captain Marvel. As she approaches what looks to be the force field surrounding the quaint town, viewers are reunited with Ant-Man and the Wasp’s Jimmy Woo played by Randall Park (The Interview, The Office). He warns Rambeau of getting too close to the translucent wall, which alludes to this occurring prior to the events of the previous episodes.
More clues are revealed as the clip plays on. According to TVLine, Woo’s voice is shown as the one calling to Wanda through the radio from episode two. And another character from the MCU’s past makes their debut. Kat Dennings’ (Two Broke Girls, Thor) Darcy Lewis appears as member of the large task force monitoring the situation. Her character last appeared in Thor: The Dark World. We also see what looks to be a wall map of theories pertaining to the mysterious town. Photos of Wanda and Vision are paired with dossier files of other Westview citizens. The clues point to the citizens possibly being S.W.O.R.D. agents caught in what is best described as the sitcom matrix.
According to TVLine, the preview closes with the tagline “Nothing can prepare you for what’s next.” The fourth installment of Marvel Studios’ WandaVision is available to stream Friday, Jan. 29 at 12 a.m. PT/ 3 a.m. ET. only on Disney+.
